Kenneth Young Center Community Navigation Recovery Coaches role is to support others in recovery from a substance use, mental health or co-occurring disorder. The CNRC will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent reoccurrence of symptoms and increase quality of life. The CNRC must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
Teen Pregnancy and Prevention
The person in this role should have basic knowledge the teen pregnancy prevention and HIV/AIDS knowledge. The health educator will provide teen pregnancy and STI prevention education to 7-12 graders in Hanover Park and surrounding areas.
Serve as a member of the executive committee.
Conduct correspondence of the CPYD with the approval of the executive committee as needed.
Record and distribute minutes at all of the meetings.
Send copies of correspondence to appropriate CPYD members.
Maintain an up-to-date directory of CPYD members.
Maintain a permanent file of business meetings and records to be turned over to the next secretary.
Prepare the annual CPYD report, in cooperation with the co-chairs and CPYD staff.
