National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, October 26th from 10a-2p

Staff have been working to distribute the Guard and Discard campaign material, which educates the community on the importance of proper use of prescription drug medication and proper disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs.


Only take medications prescribed to you, and please, never share medications. In attempt to address prescription drug misuse in our community,


Kenneth Young Center staff is helping to promote the next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which is scheduled for Saturday October 26th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Community members can drop off their unused or expired prescription drugs, no questions asked! (Note: Used needles will not be accepted.) Schaumburg, Palatine and Elk Grove Police Departments will be participating this year. Kenneth Young Center staff, Sean Caselton will also be helping out Elk Grove Police Department this year with their collection, so be sure to say “hi” to Sean while dropping off your unused or expired prescriptions drugs.
